What you will need:

  • 1 x Plywood – 40cm x 45cm (Top)
  • 2 x Plywood – To the height of your dog’s shoulders and 12cm wide (Sides)
  • 1 x Plywood – 40cm x 4cm (Front beam)
  • 6 x Screws
  • Jigsaw
  • Drill
  • Spade attachment
  • Pencil
  • Dog bowls
  • Sandpaper
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush

Method:

  1. Safety first! Get your goggles on before you start and cover your work surface with a drop cloth.
  2. Apply two coats of paint to your plywood and leave to dry.
  3. Once dry, draw two circles on the 40cm x 45cm plywood with the same diameter as the under lip of the dog bowl. The dog bowl should fit through and catch under the lip to sit flush with the wooden surface.
  4. Use your drill and spade attachment to make a hole in the middle of your circle big enough for the jigsaw to fit.
  5. Use the jigsaw to cut out your circles.
  6. Sand down the holes edges to smooth and even out.
  7. Position your two plywood pieces for the sides upright, with the longest length running vertically.
  8. Taking four screws, secure the sides to the top plywood piece with the screws.
  9. Secure the front beam to the legs (as a support beam) using the remaining screws.
  10. Insert your dog bowls and just add food, water for your furry friend.
